Cannabis Production and the Agricultural Land Reserve
Medicinal Cannabis has been legal in Canada for several years. Recently, the Federal Government legalized Cannabis for recreational use, a move that will certainly increase demand for production space. While many facilities have historically located on Industrial zoned land, the cultivation of cannabis on ALR land is a legal permitted use. During 2018 and 2019 there have been significant changes, opposition, support and confusion regarding the ALR and Cannabis production.
